At Proaction International, you will participate in performance improvement projects with organizations working in several industries (e.g., manufacturing, food processing, retail, etc.) with locations around the world!
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of projects to improve the performance of our customers. You will have a key role in the quality control of the deliverables as well as in the development of relationships with our customers. You will also guide and mobilize a high-performing team through coaching activities.
You will have the opportunity to work for a continuous period of time directly at our client’s sites. Depending on the distance between the site and your home, you could either come back daily or on weekends.
Note that our current needs require flexibility and availability for assignments predominantly across the province of Québec.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Develop the implementation strategy for each of the projects assigned
Lead the management of performance improvement projects (assignment of tasks, follow-up of timelines, quality control of deliverables, monitoring of gains realized, etc.)
Coach managers, including identifying their strengths and guidance requirements with the objective of improving their management skills
Spend time on the floor through active supervision tours with the management to identify and promote additional operating gains
Communicate the status of projects and develop a high-level customer Relationship
Contribute actively to the improvement of our tools and work practices
Coach and train your team to support them in their development
Support our clients with their change management activities by facilitating meetings and workshops and collaborating to implement initiatives that will perpetuate the changes implemented
Ideally you possess :
A keen interest and availability for assignments at our clients sites, which may include frequent travelling
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a project manager ideally in the field of management consulting and/or engineering with demonstrated experience coaching team members
Experience and excellent knowledge of coaching, lean and continuous improvement approaches in the context of operational performance improvement
Excellent relational skills, strong interest in human relations and ability to build sustainable business relationships
A good ability to manage stress and self-control, specifically when you are outside of your comfort zone
A strong ability to communicate in French (verbal and written)
An undergraduate degree in the field of management (management, GOP, HRM) or engineering (industrial engineering) or equivalent experience
A valid driver’s license
